Motorists faced miles of queuing traffic this morning due to over-running roadworks at the Dartford Crossing.
Two lanes were closed anticlockwise between Junction 1a, A206 (Erith) and J31, A1306 (West Thurrock).
The right-hand tunnel remained shut throughout the morning rush hour.
Highways England tweeted: "Delays are building on #M25 anti-clockwise btwn J3-J2 due to the closure of the east tunnel #DartfordCrossing. Allow extra time. #DartCharge"
