A wet and humid summer in Kent and Sussex has led to a slug population explosion.Experts warn the population has soared over the past year to around 15 million nationwide- that is 230 slugs for every Briton.Last year's mild winter coupled with the recent heavy rainfall has provided the perfect living and breeding conditions for the garden pests.
