El Nino is set to create a long, snowy winter after the weather phenomenon is predicted to be the strongest in more than 50 years.
Met Office meteorologists said the coming winter could echo 'The Big Freeze' conditions of 2009/2010 when large swathes of the UK felt the effects of heavy snow.
