An aircraft which was taking part in the Shoreham airshow in Brighton has crashed on the A27 resulting in several casualties, police confirm. Witnesses say the plane was attempting a loop but it could not be completed in time. It crashed into four cars on the road at 1.20pm. The BBC reported that the pilot was pulled out of the burning wreckage and is recovering in hospital. The extent of other casualties is currently unknown.
