Hundreds lined the streets of Whitstable for the annual carnival.The event, which pre-dates the Oyster Festival, is known by residents as one of the 'Old Whitstable' events.
Gone are the days of pub floats (which always had the hairiest men dressed up as women) but this year there were a number of beauty queens and local businesses plus Scouts and the traditional Sea Cadets marching band.
