Maistone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust (MTW) has been placed in financial special measures after revealing it will end the year with a £23 million budget deficit.
The MTW runs Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells hospitals and as well as ending the year with a large deficit will also have to find £23 million of efficiency savings.
Today, five NHS providers were placed in financial special measures by NHS Improvement in order to bring about an improvement in their finances.
