A passenger train had to be evacuated due to a fire in the engine compartment this morning.Kent Fire and Rescue Services were called to the scene at Paddock Wood station following reports of a small fire in the engine compartment of the lead carriage of a train at 7:49am on Friday, June 17.Four fire engines were sent to the scene and all were passengers evacuated the train.The electricity to the engine was isolated and the driver used a foam extinguisher to tackle the small fire.
