A severe weather warning has been given for Kent and Sussex by
The Met Office.
Its chief forecaster has given a 'yellow warning' for rain for the area.
This means 15-25 mm of rain could fall locally within an hour, with 30 to 40 mm possible within three or four hours.
Scattered, heavy downpours will develop today a\cross England and Wales, turning thundery in places.
Whilst many places will miss the worst, (some even staying dry) please be aware of the risk of localised surface water...
