The weather was balmy and the event was even barmier - the madcap Speldhurst Pram Race had everyone smiling in the village yesterday.
Some teams charged around the village twice, while the little ones did a toddle with their little prams on Speldhurst Recreation Ground and were given a lollipop as the finish line.
For the older pram-racers, there were mandatory beers stops along the way, one at the George and Dragon and one along they way, run by Sankey's, whose staff were also serving up...
