Dame Kelly Holmes has sent her condolences to the family and friends of army captain David Seath who collapsed at the London Marathon 2016 on Sunday and later died in hospital.
Thirty-one-year-old Mr Seath, a veteran of Afghanistan, had a cardiac arrest near to the end of the race, at the 23-mile marker near Southwark Bridge.
Green Beret Mr Seath was an officer in the 29 Commando Regiment, part of the Royal Artillery.
