Schools in East Sussex have benefited from a £10,000 windfall each to combat childhood obesity.
Some £2 million will be distributed across 178 schools in Sussex in a bid by East Sussex County Council to keep children in shape.
The grants programme follows a pilot which saw ten East Sussex schools receive grants to fund activities such as family fitness events, development of 'healthy tuck shops', and cookery clubs.
