After 104 years of Scouting in Burwash and Etchingham the tradition looks set to end unless a new leader can be found.
The Cub group is struggling to find a new leader as one person is leaving to do a degree course, but the knock-on effect will mean the Scout group will also be forced to close on June 28.
Keith Lloyd, who has been on the Scout committee for 28 years, said the 20 Cubs would be devastated if no-one came forward to take up the role.
