I wouldn't necessarily call myself a hoarder but I really don't like throwing stuff away if there is a chance it could be used in the future.
There may always be an instance when we have to throw together a costume for National Book Day the evening before school, or the kids want to play with arts and crafts on a rainy afternoon – which means the odd bits and pieces do eventually come in handy.
If I didn't keep them, it'd be likely they'd get thrown in the bin or recycled because...
