The Met Office has lifted a severe weather warning that was issued for Kent and Sussex.
A yellow weather warning of snow and ice was issued for the region from 3pm on Friday until 9am on Saturday, March 5.
The warning has now been cancelled.
Light snow and sleet is still expected on Saturday morning with lows of -1C in west Kent and East Sussex.
Drivers are warned to expect difficult driving conditions and possible travel disruption in icy conditions.
