Journey times on the congested A26 in Southborough should be slashed after an upgrade of two major junctions, said highways bosses. Work on the traffic lights at the Yew Tree Road and Speldhurst Road junctions began on Monday. They will be replaced with intelligent traffic controls at both junctions.
