Flood-hit Chiddingstone families appeal for action

FAMILIES in Chiddingstone Causeway are calling for flood defences after they suffered three wash-outs in the last two weeks.Homes in Redleaf Close were devastated in the flooding of Christmas 2013, and several residents were forced to move out for weeks while properties were repaired.Despite drainage works being carried out behind the houses, heavy rainfall over the last two weeks has swamped gardens as families made a mad dash to protect their homes with sandbags.Father-of-three Glen Liddle...
