Assaults against NHS staff across west Kent and East Sussex have increased in the last year, figures have revealed.In stark contrast to the national picture – which has seen assaults fall – attacks against workers at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust and East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust have gone up.And while health bosses have condemned physical or verbal violence against their staff, they have said the increase is down to workers being encouraged to report any attack.Figures...
