Tonbridge man convicted of handling stolen goods

A Tonbridge man has been sentenced for two counts of handling stolen goods.George Smith, 37, of New Road, Tonbridge, pleaded not guilty to the charges but was convicted of the offences by magistrates at West Kent Magistrates' Court on November 16 2015.Between February 2 and April 17 2015, Smith handled a stolen Vauxhall Vivaro van and handled a stolen Honda quad bike between April 7 and April 17 2015.Magistrates ordered Smith to carry out 600 hours of unpaid work in the next 12 months.
